Essential Functions:

  • Directs safety program activities for specific area and crew
  • Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications
  • Able to verify and correct the setup and adjustment of machinery
  • Inspects equipment for potential problems and solutions to problems
  • Follows up on reoccurring down time issues and elimination of them. Required down time analysis completed on all down time over 30 minutes
  • Monitors and maintains inventories of operating supplies to plant operating budget
  • Able to work all shifts as required
  • Interprets company policies and procedures to workers and enforces same
  • Comminucates with other supervisors and management to achieve company standards and production requirements
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of the departments
  • Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve company standards and goals
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems
  • Have a working knowledge of all equipment used and activities performed by employees
  • Holds employees accountable to departmental and machine center goals and expectations
  • Drives forward our efforts to implement and maintain continuous improvement throughout our organization

MinimumQualifications:

  • BA/BS degree is preferred but not required
  • Working knowledge of all plywood operations and associated equipment is desired
  • PC operation and experience (Work, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong ability to coach and lead a diverse workforce
  • Shift work

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
